At some point your leather goods will need caring for.
For the first 6-12 months the natural oils from your hands should provide enough nourishment and help to slightly darken and patina the leather on its own.
Different leathers are finished in different ways at the tannery and therefore it's hard to say when a leather care product is needed.
I personally recommend Sedgwick Leather Care which is a combination of Natural Oils, Fats and Beeswax. This is the perfect mix of ingredients to both feed and protect your leather goods.
If your leather goods become or start to feel dry then, by all means, give it a light coat of the above following the instructions on the side of the tin.
If in doubt, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to advise you with what to do.
